NOCOMPILE

Type: $blogExpOpt

Scope: children

Purpose: Appends children as SmartButtons rather than (POST-default) subsections

NOCOMPILE is redundant for PAGES, but not for POSTS, which are compiled by default. (As are code-notes, since their $blogExpOpt contains BLOCKS.)

If you would like your POST children to be appended as SmartButtons (and the individual webpages to which these link) just add NOCOMPILE to the POST’s $blogExpOpt.

If you want notes compiled again at a deeper level, add COMPILE to $blogExpOpt at that level. And you can then flip back to granularity again with NOCOMPILE at yet a deeper level. With BoxPress, you have total control over export granularity.

Sub-posts are invisible to Preview
Since sub-posts do not export as their own pages, you cannot view a sub-post note in the Preview Panel unless you have set the dashExpOpt widget in the Styles Dash to Export All.
