Gaston Crunelle (1898–1990) was professor of flute at the Paris Conservatoire from 1941 to 1969, during which time he taught a great number of leading flute players, including Jean-Pierre Rampal, James Galway, Maxence Larrieu, Edward Beckett, Michel Debost and countless others.
