Inside a note

The text format inside a note is customizable. You can find these attributes under the TextFormat group of System Attributes. This includes familiar settings such as the background color of the text field; the font family, size, and color; left and right window margins; and tabs spacing.

You can also determine which of the over 300 attributes to show at the top of the window. Different types of notes will want to show different sets of attributes. For example, a code-note is not concerned with dates but a kombucha-note is. The small selection of attributes that you want to display are called the key attributes of a note.

Such settings will serve you as cues. For example, when you write a blog post, you will be doing so in your favorite writing font (Candara) and against a certain background (very light peach). But when you write some HTML code, you’ll be doing so in a monospaced font (Monaco) and against a antiseptic white background. You can consistently embed your writing inside constant contexts.
