BKG-TEXTURE

Type: Background trigger

Scope: self (webpage background)

Purpose: Sets BKG texture to Theme Folder > BodyTexture.png

To activate the scrolling background texture stored in your Theme Folder (BodyTexture.png), add BKG-TEXTURE to the $blogBkgOpt of the prototype, category, or note you want affected. For example, to activate the default background texture for the entire website, add BKG-TEXTURE to the $blogExpOpt of normal_note.

To have a post or category override this with its own background image, set its $blogBkgImage to some other file in your default Theme Folder.

If a post has the BKG-TEXTURE export option, it will display BodyTexture.png as its scrolling background. However, this will be overridden in two cases:

  • by the post’s parent category—when (1) its $blogBkgImage is set, and (2) its $blogBkgOpt contains BKG-BEQUEATH
  • by the post—when its $blogBkgImage is set to some other file in your default Theme Folder.

Post overrides category, and category overrides default. To make new textures available, just add them to your Theme Folders. These images should be png type images so that your color setting can show through.

Activating BKG-TEXTURE will make the following stylistic changes:

  • the main column of your blog will become lightly bordered,
  • the main column will receive a 15px padding, and
  • the opacity of posts will drop to 99%.
BKG-IMAGE > BKG-TEXTURE
If you accidentally include both BKG-IMAGE and BKG-TEXTURE, BKG-IMAGE will prevail.
